The Tumbling Clown teapot was designed in 1970 by Roger Michell.
It was manufactured under the backstamp Carlton Ware Lustre Pottery as part of Carlton Ware's Circus Range.
A small number of these teapots were handmade in the studio in 1999 subsequently the mould was destroyed.
6 of these were decorated by Danka Napiorkowska, the last 10 by Roger Michell.
On the base of the teapot is painted the edition number and the artists initials RSM + DN.
