Lustre
Pottery (est.1973) licensed Carlton Ware to make its designs from 1973
to 1983, Walking Ware was the most prolific and most popular. One of the
contractual agreements between Carlton Ware and Lustre Pottery was that
on expiry of the contract, all copyrights in any jointly-developed trade
names would automatically revert to Lustre Pottery. Lustre
Pottery intend to use this trademark in a limited way to make certain
distinctions between the aspirations of the pots that they will now be
producing. The dates will be clearly marked to avoid any possible confusion
with past designs or marks and there will be no repetition of old designs
although Lustre retains copyright in all these.
