Colin Milburn works in greenwood, felling the timber from native forests, logging and hauling the timber with his own team of horses. This building is hand made with hand riven cedar shingles on a larch frame.The building will gradually weather to the most beautiful silver grey. It reflects the beautiful timber structures in medieval building. There is an exceptional quality in the making, each joint being hand cut and fitted to furniture making standards.The outside seating in Longreach House shows an imaginative development of these skills.
