The main vehicle entrance to the site is some two hundred yards away. Upon entering the vehicle rises up a slope to a roundabout, giving a choice of turning left to Longreach House, or right to the community hospital. As the eye comes over the brow of the slope, so the hospitals come rapidly into view. It was to provide an instant identification marker that these sails were conceived.
Brightly coloured, five metres high, there are three of them moving freely in the wind.
They feather gracefully and in most circumstances will dance gently with the subtle change of wind directions and speeds.
