Unmarked bone china from Stoke-on-Trent potteries surplus, decorated using transfers from the wall imagery for the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children's Hydrotherapy Pool and gold.

The Hydrotherapy Pool ceramic tile installation was part of the new childrens' hospital public art project (1997 - 2001).

The tiled wall depicts the sea journey of a girl and a boy from the dangers of a storm and finally to safety. The images are accompanied by poetry from the Bristol poet Michael Hughes.

The hospital was opened by HRH the Prince of Wales who was also presented with a tea set.
