The Goddess Flora waters her garden while being spied upon by a mere mortal who is beaten with a stick by an attendant.

Thrown and turned and decorated with platinum.

Lustre resist is an 18c technique, the resist is painted or applied to the pot with a pen then the platinum, suspended in a laquer, is brushed on. The pot is fired to a modest temperature and miraculously the laquer turns to metal. The resist is then washed away to reveal the pale cream glaze.

Irresistible, well at least for me.
