It all began in 1973 when Roger Michell and Danka Napiorkowska began to design, make and decorate some of the most interesting teapots that had been seen since the beginning of the 2nd World War in 1939.

By 2007 Lustre had designed and made more than 20 limited edition teapots and many more manufactured and one-off thrown and turned studio versions.

Lustre teapots are made in earthenware and porcelain. They are individually decorated in underglaze, enamel, gold and platignum in small limited editions or one-off commissions.
