An unstoppable showman, Charlie Stephens, a real barber from Bedminster... a Bristol story. He was a sort of self employed 'Evil Knevil' of his day. Kept Bristol amazed by his exploits, A Captain Web fancier with no sense of proportion. It is easy to see him as sad but he was unboubtedly magnificent. In the balloon is Isambard of God's Wonderful Railway the Great Western Region.
